Description
This programme led by Fert from 2014 to 2017 is the extension of the project “Soil conservation and food security: a common concern for peasant farmers in Mali and Morocco”. It was implemented simultaneously in two regions of Morocco and one region of Tunisia. It was structured around four axes in order to sustainably improve people’s food security: strengthening the capacities of farmers’ groups, validating sustainable agronomic practices, creating and reproducing innovative semi-direct seed drills (SD) locally, and raising national stakeholders’ awareness of the challenges and practices of conservation agriculture. This action was concluded in 2018 with the drafting of a capitalization that takes into account the lessons learned from the work of Fert and its partners in the field of conservation agriculture.
