Description
The Coopara, coffee and cocoa producers’ cooperative, door action in favor of rural youth of its territory. The OP, in partnership with Fert, accompanies rural youth of the region in their installation project in agriculture. This pilot action is conducted for a first phase, with 100 young people previously identified in 14 villages. These dynamic young people, whose parents are also heavily involved in the action, wishes with this support modernize their agricultural practices and aim to decent living from their farming profession.
The Coopara wishes by his action help boost the territories where many young people are present by providing support tailored and targeted to them. The Cooperative also seeks the renewal of plantations and planters and therefore reinvigorate its production of quality cocoa-coffee and promote the emergence of new cooperative, which will certainly future peasant leaders.
In 2018, funding for the action came to an end.
