On the occasion of its General Assembly, Fert gathered its members, partners and guests at the Golf de l’Ailette hotel in the Aisne region on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
This location, close to the Chemin des Dames, far from having been chosen at random, was an opportunity to pay tribute to Henri de Benoist, President of Fert from 2007 to 2017, who left us at the end of 2023.
Testimonies from former farm leaders and friends, punctuated by screenings of historical videos, highlighted the values underlying Fert’s action: mutualism, solidarity, independence…
Exchanges with representatives from Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire and Madagascar then served to link these values with action in the field.
These different interventions illustrated Fert’s approach through concrete representations of support for farmers and their organizations in 9 countries.
The General Assembly approved the 2023 Activity Report.
This report inaugurates the new graphic charter of the agri-agency, notably with the Fert logo which is adorned with new colors.

In 2023, Fert continued its actions in partnership with farmers and their professional organizations in 9 countries in Africa and Eastern Europe. This involves supporting the improvement of farming practices and the increase in production as well as the valorization of products. It is also about supporting young people through training and professional integration.
This year, Georgia is in the spotlight after 13 years of support for farmers’ organization as a new development path.
For Fert, peer exchange and action engineering are always at the heart of the approach. Many additional tools and resources are to be discovered throughout the pages of this report presenting the essentials of the year 2023.
