The Network of Peasant Organizations and Producers in West African (Roppa), gathered in Accra from December 4th to 6th 2015, the partners involved with him in a capitalization process he carries with other networks OP, Apess (Association for the Promotion of Livestock in the Sahel and Savannah) and the RBM (Network Billital Maroobe). Fert was present on this occasion.

There are nearly 70 participants from throughout the West African region that participated in the regional workshop proposed by Roppa (Network of Peasant Organizations and Producers in West African).

From December 4th to 6th in Accra, Ghana, 48 experiences of family farmers organized were presented and fed the debate.

In groups then brakes to scaling could be identified to consider the role that could play Roppa to unlock them.

 

The French Committee for International Solidarity (CFSI) and Fondation de France on this occasion could bring the lessons they have learned from the capitalization of 130 initiatives supported since 2009 as part of the Family Agriculture Programme in West Africa (Pafao)*

Fert was able to attend this workshop witnessing the accompanying action of cowpea producers in Burkina Faso.

*Since 2009, CFSI and the Fondation de France, in partnership with the Roppa, implement the Agricultural farming Programme in West Africa (Pafao). Each year, a call for projects is launched: since its inception, 130 initiatives were funded. The action of cowpea unions supported by Fert in Sanmatenga region received funding through this program.
